US President Donald Trump has paid his highest respects to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who recently resigned for health reasons. He also expressed concern about the Japanese prime minister’s health condition.

Trump told reporters on Friday that he would like to pay his respects to Shinzo Abe. He is my best friend. We had a very nice relationship and I feel bad about it.

Referring to Abe as a patriot, Trump said, “I can’t imagine what happened.” But he is a gentleman and I respect him more.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe resigned on Friday for health reasons. However, Abe was to serve as Japan’s prime minister until September 2021. Shinzo Abe, 65, said he had ulcerative colitis and needed to continue treatment with new drugs.
