Last month, Trump brokered an agreement between the two countries to facilitate the normalization of relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Norwegian MP Christian Tibering-Zedde nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize on Wednesday for his landmark peace deal. This is the second time he has nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.
“I think Trump has done more to bring peace to different countries than most of the Nobel Peace Prize nominees,” said Tibring-Zedde, a Fox News lawmaker.
“This nomination is for Trump’s role in establishing peace between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. That is the most decent thing to do and it should end there.”

“As a result of this agreement, other countries in the Middle East also hope to follow in the footsteps of the United Arab Emirates,” Tibering-Zed wrote in his nomination to the Nobel Committee. The agreement could make a big difference to the Middle East, which could make the region a cooperative and prosperous region. “
In early 2019, Trump was also nominated by Tibering-Zedde. Zedde chose Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize because of Trump’s diplomatic efforts in North Korea, especially his historic meeting with the country’s leader, Kim, in Singapore. He also said he was nominating Trump for withdrawing US troops from Iraq this year.
University professors and former Nobel laureates, including members of the government and parliament, can also nominate candidates for the Nobel Prize. The Norwegian Nobel Committee decided to award this prize. The committee did not comment on Trump’s nomination.
According to Reuters, the last date to submit nominations to the Nobel Committee was January 31. In other words, the deadline for submitting this year’s Nobel nominations has passed. This year’s Nobel Prize will be announced on October 9 in Oslo, Norway.
