Two people were killed in a road accident at Faridganj in Chandpur. One person was injured at that time. The accident took place in front of the Faridganj health complex on the Chandpur-Raipur highway at 8:15 am on Tuesday.

The deceased have been identified as Jahangir Hossain, 40, and Nilufa Yasmin Ruma, 38, drivers of the CNG autorickshaw. Mamun (35) was seriously injured. He was admitted to Chandpur Sadar Hospital. The home of the deceased autorickshaw driver is in neighboring Raipur upazila and the home of the deceased woman is in the Charbarali village of Faridganj. In addition, Mamun’s home was seriously injured in the Sholla area of ​​Faridganj upazila.

According to Faridganj police sources, the Meghna Oil Company oil truck was traveling from Raipur to Faridganj when the truck’s wheel exploded in front of the Faridganj Upazila Health Complex. At that moment, the truck crushed the CNG autorickshaw coming from the opposite direction. Both vehicles fell into the side channel. Two people, including the driver of the autorickshaw, were killed on the spot.

The Officer-in-Charge (CO) of the Faridganj Police Station, Mohammad Shahid Hossain, confirmed the incident, saying: “We have seized two vehicles in this incident. However, the truck driver escaped. A case is being prepared at the police station in this regard.
