Then he went to the National Monument in Savar. In the afternoon he met with the Prime Minister and the Minister for Foreign Affairs.
He then attended the ceremony in the National Weapons Court. A cultural event was also organized on the occasion with performances by artists from Bangladesh and Nepal.
In the evening, he met with the president in Bangabhaban. There, four memorandums of understanding were signed between Bangladesh and Nepal for cooperation. Four memorandums of understanding were signed to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields, including tourism, sanitation, cultural exchange, and rail connectivity.
Vidya Devi Bhandari will return to Kathmandu today. This was Nepal’s first visit to Bangladesh as president.
