The Ministry of Education has carried out an incident in Tughlaq to transfer the deceased teacher. BCS general education cadre officer and assistant professor of botany Sams Ara Jahan died on May 12. But more than four months after his death, he was transferred by the Ministry of Education.
In an order Thursday, the Ministry of Education transferred him to the position of Assistant Professor (Botany) at Sadarpur Government College, Faridpur. Sams Ara Jahan was attached to the Department of Secondary and Higher Education due to illness.
Her husband Mahbubul Alam, a government official, expressed extreme frustration at the order. The incident also drew criticism from BCS education officials.
The same memorandum with Samash Ara Jahan has been transferred to Assistant Professor (Geography) Nigar Sultana Parveen. The OSD officer was transferred to the position of associate professor (geography) at Government Rajendra College, Faridpur.
It is known that this official has already obtained permission from the Ministry of Education to carry out a doctorate in deputation. According to the rules, he should not be transferred as delegation is allowed. Even then it has been transferred.
However, the relevant branch of the Ministry of Education could not be reached for comment.
