RAB has found a secret office of Irfan Selim, son of Haji Selim, on the 16th floor of the Medina Ashiq tower in Chawkbazar, Old Dhaka. The raid was carried out on the 18th floor of the Medina Ashiq tower after 6:30 pm on Monday, said Lieutenant General RAB, director of the Media Wing. A. Ashiq Billah said: “We had information that there is a secret room on the 16th floor.” Initially, this room was known to be used as a “torture cell”.

He claimed that human bones, handcuffs, ropes, knives, towels, net walkie-talkies, handcuffs and other equipment were found in the room. However, something resembling human bones was found in that room. The details will be known after the forensic investigation.

RAB claimed that Irfan, Haji Selim’s son, used the room on the roof of the 16-story building as a “Selim torture cell”. It is the largest building in Old Dhaka. The Medina Developer office, owned by Haji Selim, is on the 16th floor of the building. On top of this is the ‘torture cell’ on the roof.

However, Abdul Khaleq, a security guard at the building, said that Haji Selim himself had an office at Medina Developer. His son Irfan Selim also came occasionally. They also go to the roof. However, he said that he knew nothing about the torture cell.

Some officers and employees were seen on the scene at Medina Developer’s office in the high Ashik Tower on Monday night. They said that both Haji Selim and Irfan Selim came to this office. However, they were unable to say anything about the torture cell.
