Today, the verdict of 14 minors accused in the Rifat murder case

Rifat Sharif was shot and killed in front of Barguna Government College on June 26 last year. The following day, Rifat Sharif’s father, Abdul Halim Sharif, filed a murder case against 12 people at the Barguna police station. Rifat Sharif’s wife, Ayesha Siddique, was the main witness in the case. The main defendant in the case, Sabbir Ahmed alias Nayan Bond, was killed in a ‘shootout’ with police on July 2 of that year. On September 1, the police charged 24 people in the case and divided them into adults and minors.

On January 8, Judge of the Barguna Juvenile Court. Hafizur Rahman brought charges against 14 defendants. Testimony against the accused minor began on January 13. After the testimony of 84 witnesses against the defendants was completed on October 14, the interested lawyers presented arguments for and against the court.

Said attorney for the prosecution in the Barguna Children’s Court PP case. Mostafizur Rahman said: “Based on the evidence we have presented in court, we have been able to show that the defendants are involved in the murder.” I hope that all the accused receive the maximum punishment.
