Durga Puja, the largest religious festival for followers of traditional religions, will be held on October 22. The formality of this festival begins today Thursday through Shubh Mahalaya. On this day, Mother Durga will come to her father’s house from Kailash. The message of the arrival of Goddess Durga to different temples in the country will start the festivities in the homes of the Hindus.

Those concerned said that due to the Corona epidemic, Durga Puja will not be played this time, but the bid will start on October 22 in accordance with hygiene and social distance rules. The five-day festival will end on October 26. Goddess Durga will now come to her father’s house in a cradle and return to the courtyard.

On the occasion of mahalaya there are also arrangements according to the hygiene rules of the crown. Mother Durga with ten-armed energy will be located in each mandapa. To that end, each mandapa will be covered with Chandi Path from 6 am today and dancing in the heart during the new moon. Around 32,000 mandapas across the country will have mahalaya ghats at 8 am and special puja at 9 am.

On the occasion of Mahalaya, various temples and puja committees will carry out various programs across the country, including the capital Dhaka. Various programs have been carried out at the Dhakeswari National Temple at the initiative of the Mahanagar Sarvajanin Puja Committee. The Mahalaya Ghat installation will be held at the Dhakeswari temple premises at 8am, Chandipath at 9am, and a special puja until 11am. Arrangements are also being made at Ramakrishna Mission and Math Temple.

Apart from this, the Chandi Path and religious devotional songs will be performed in various puja mandales, including Jagannath Hall, Siddheswari Mandir, Ramna Kali Mandir, Sri Sri Loknath Brahmachari Ashram and Mandir, Ramsita Mandir, Joykali Mandir of Dhaka University. The organizers said the offerings will be distributed taking into account the hygienic and social distance between the incoming fans and the guests.
