In recognition of their glorious and meritorious contribution at the national level, the 2021 Independence Prize is awarded to 9 eminent individuals and one organization. The government has announced the names of the 2021 Independence Medal winners.
The list of nominees for the Independence Award was published in a press release issued by the Cabinet Division on Sunday (March 8). On this occasion, the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council as an institution is receiving this award.
The government has been awarding this award every year since 1986 on the occasion of Independence Day on March 26. This is the highest state award in the country. They have been awarded this honor in recognition of their glorious and meritorious contributions at the national level.
The medalists are:
1. Late AKM Bazlur Rahman (War of Independence and Liberation)
2. Shaheed Ahsan Ullah Master (War of Independence and Liberation)
3. The late heroic freedom fighter, Brigadier General Khurshid Uddin Ahmed (War of Independence and Liberation)
4. Late Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury Babu (War of Independence and Liberation)
5. Dr. Clay Cave Recruiter (science and technology)
. Mahadev Saha (Literature)
. Ataur Rahman (Culture)
. Gazi Mazharul Anwar (Culture)
9. Professor Dr. M Amjad Hossain (Social Service / Public Service) and
10. Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (Research and Training).
