The hanged body of Bollywood actor Asif Basra has been recovered. His body was recovered from a residential building in Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday.
The Indian media Hindustan Times reported the news.
The Hindustan Times quoted ANI as saying that police and forensic officers had already arrived at the scene.
Kangra SSP Bimukta Ranjan said: ‘The hanging body of Asif Basra has been recovered from a private compound in Dharamsala. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
Asif Basra has acted in many more films including We Met, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai, Ek Villain, Krish 3, Kai Po Che. He recently starred in the second season of the Amazon Prime Underworld and Disney Plus web series Hotstar’s Hostage.
Apart from Indian cinema, Asif Basra has also acted in various foreign projects such as One Night with the King, Quicksand and Outsourced.
He was initially thought to have committed suicide, the Hindustan Times reported.
Another Indian news outlet, News Eighteen, reported that Asif Basra had been renting a residential building at McLeodganj in Dharamsala for the past five years. You have been suffering from depression for some time.
