The government is planning to give 10 consecutive days off to all offices and courts during the next Eid-ul-Fitr. The probable Eid date was set for May 25 on the predetermined official calendar. This time, the Eid holiday may be May 21-30 due to Corona. Four days of two weekly holidays before and after Eid and one day of Shabakdar holidays may be associated with it.
As a result, the general vacation period can be extended until May 30 along with the Eid holiday, concerned public administration officials said.
Due to the Corona epidemic, the general holiday will take place from March 26 to May 16. The proposal regarding the general permit and the Eid permit from the Ministry of Public Administration is to go to the Prime Minister on Tuesday.
Every December New Year holiday is approved by the cabinet. In accordance with the custom of other years, the official calendar has set May 24, 25 and 26 as the possible Eid holidays for the current year. Previously, on May 21, Shabekdar and on May 22 and 23, the combined weekly holidays, the overall Eid holidays were generally six days. Due to the crown, all normal calendars have become random. For this reason, the government believes that the next two business days after May 26, that is, May 26 and 27, will also be declared holidays. In this way, the weekly holiday on May 29 and 30 will be combined with the 10-day Eid holiday. According to experts’ projections, during the last two weeks of May, it will be possible to control person-to-person contact during the final transition.
Responsible sources at the Ministry of Public Administration told Kaler Kanth that after May 16, the official business day falls before the Eid holiday on May 16, 18, 19, 19, and 20. Eid vacation will start thereafter. According to projections by the government crown expert group, the crown situation in Bangladesh may be the worst in the last two weeks of this month. The crown detection rate in recent days is a reflection of that prediction. All in all, the government is giving importance to the issue of continuous Eid holidays. The Prime Minister’s Office is also known to have asked the public administration to submit a license proposal on the above schedule.
During the last extension of the holiday, everyone was instructed to celebrate Eid in their respective places. However, there are indications that public transportation will not open until Eid. According to sources, the government cannot declare a month-long holiday at a time. So seven days are announced, 10 days of vacation.
