On Sunday morning, the Khulna district administration hall inaugurated work on “expansion of primary schools and construction of shelters for the purpose of residential education and rehabilitation of children from sexual villages.”

Joining the event via the Zoom app, Social Welfare Minister Nuruzzaman Ahmed said that the Khulna district administration has taken the initiative to build a shelter to build a safe haven for the children of the Banishanta sex village . Which is an exemplary initiative for the entire country.

The girls of the sex workers here have been sex workers for generations and the boys are involved in criminal activities. The Khulna district administration has taken this initiative to put an end to this situation.

Khulna DC Helal Hossain said that 64 children have already been admitted to primary schools and separated from their mothers. Steps have been taken to generate interest in education by distributing educational and sports materials to them.

He said that the parents of these children are happy with this initiative. Sex workers expect their children to become “human beings”.

The classrooms of the Banishanta government primary school have been expanded for 64 children enrolled in primary school. A three-story building is being constructed under the direction of the district administration at a cost of around Rs 1.69 million Tk for the accommodation of the children next to the school. In addition, a housing system is being developed for 43 more secondary school children.

Noting that this initiative has been taken to change the quality of life of these children, DC said that mothers can visit their children from time to time. But these children will never be able to go to the sex village.

This residential shelter will help in the mental development of these children. He thinks that if these children are educated, they will never return to the profession of sex workers.
