The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has launched a search for the illegal assets of Haji Selim, a deputy from the ruling party of the Dhaka-6 constituency, and his family after his son Irfan Selim was arrested for beating a naval officer.

The headquarters of Segundobagichaya ACC in the capital on Wednesday afternoon, the commissioner said (investigation). Mozammel Haque Khan said this in response to a question from reporters.

The ACC commissioner said the ACC was investigating media reports on the assets of MP Haji Selim and his son Irfan Selim. If your acquired and seized assets are considered scheduled crimes by the ACC, then the investigation will begin according to the law.

Responding to a question from reporters, the ACC commissioner said: “We have seen news about Haji Selim and his son Irfan Selim in various print and electronic media.” We are noticing that the problems are related to law and order. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving office.

“If the issue of illegal assets is related to the ACC schedule and includes scheduled crimes, we will investigate,” Tin added. Be the place or property of the government; If it is seized and covered by the ACC Act, appropriate action will be taken.

Incidentally, on Sunday night (October 25) near the Kalabagan crossing in Dhanmondi, the vehicle of Deputy Dhaka-6 Haji Selim collided with the motorcycle of the Navy officer, Lieutenant Wasif Ahmed Khan. After that, Irfan Selim and his men got out of the car and beat the officer named Lieutenant Wasim.

The vehicle with the MP’s sticker and the naval officer’s motorcycle were seized at the Dhanmondi police station around 10:15 pm. A case was filed at the Dhanmondi Police Station on Monday morning at 8am alleging attempted murder.

Immediately after the case, RAB raided Haji Selim’s home at Devidas Ghat Lane No. 26 in Chawkbazar. An unlicensed foreign pistol, ammunition, a compressed air pistol, 40 walkie-talkies, a wife, and foreign liquor and beer were seized from the building. RAB arrested Irfan Selim and his accomplice at the time. Then, on Tuesday, Agrani Bank reclaimed 20 percent of the land from MP Haji Selim.

Meanwhile, the local government issued a circular Tuesday dismissing Haji Selimputra Irfan from the post of councilor.
