Sirajganj: Members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-12) have cordoned off a house in the Ukilpara area of Shahjadpur upazila in Sirajganj on suspicion of being a “militant hideout”.
On Friday (November 20) starting at 5 a.m., the RAB was preparing to raid the house on suspicion of being a militant hideout.
On Thursday night (November 19), the RAB-5 arrested four people, including Amir Mahbub of the new JMB in the area of the Shah Makhdum Police Station in Rajshahi. According to information from the arrested Amir, the operation has been carried out in Ukilpara since Friday morning.
Muhammad Mohiuddin Miraj, acting commander of RAB-12 company in Sirajganj, told banglanews.
“We have cordoned off the house on suspicion of being a hideout for militants,” he said. Suddenly there was a strong fire in that house. However, more RAB teams are arriving at the scene.
