Dhaka: Interior Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said there is no reason for the transfer of the Executive Magistrate of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Sarwar Alam.
He made the remarks in response to a question from journalists at his office at the Interior Ministry on Wednesday (November 11).
Sarwar Alam, an official from BCS’s Lot 27 Management Board, was transferred as Senior Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Welfare for Expatriates and Employment Abroad by order of the Ministry of Public Administration on Monday.
When asked if there was any reason behind the transfer of RAB magistrate Sarwar Alam, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said: “There is no reason behind the transfer.” My PRO is here today, tomorrow it can go elsewhere, that’s the government rule. Our secretaries are being transferred. Our joint secretaries are getting promotions and moving elsewhere. This is the government rule.
Mr. Magistrate has been there for a long time. Maybe go to a better place, move to another place for a better place, for which he has been removed from the Ministry of Public Administration. ‘
Sarwar Alam is known to have served as RAB executive magistrate since 2015. He has been discussed for his courageous role in the anti-food adulteration movement and the special anti-corruption campaign. The accomplished Pakundia son of Kishoreganj has gained wide recognition by campaigning against the corruption of several great leaders of the ruling party, including the casino emperor Ismail Hossain Samrat.
Furthermore, the arrest of Haji Selimputra Irfan Selim under the influence of alcohol was the most talked about incident in the corona virus epidemic. Last Saturday, he raided three diagnostic centers in Mohammadpur and fined them for irregularities.
