School will not open this year, students will be evaluated based on assignment to pass the next class. Therefore, this evaluation will be based on a short one-month study program.

The Minister of Education, Dipu Moni, said this at a press conference on how to conduct an annual assessment of sixth, seventh and ninth grade students at the secondary level.

He said school authorities would send the assignments to students online and collect and submit the answers online.

“And the authorities will collect the answers and evaluate based on that. The authorities will insist on the images that will be found in the evaluation next year.”

The first step the government took to stop the spread of the coronavirus in Bangladesh was to shut down educational institutions.

Because of this, educational institutions have been closed since March 16 and the government has extended vacations in all educational institutions until October 31.

Previously, due to the coronavirus epidemic, the PEC of the fifth grade primary education final exam and ibtedayi, the 8th grade JSC-JDC exam, and the latest and equivalent HSC exams were canceled.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has asked to be promoted to the next class based on the evaluation of the students of their respective schools from pre-primary to fourth.
