At a meeting held at the University Grants Commission (UGC) on Tuesday, the software, led by Munaz Ahmed Noor, Vice Chancellor of the Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University in Gazipur, was peer-reviewed. The UGC formed a committee of five experts, including Hafiz Muhammad Hasan Babu, a professor in the department of engineering and computer science at Dhaka University, to verify the proposed software.

A UGC official told Prothom Alo that taking the admissions test with this software can lead to confusion. Additionally, due to technical and network issues, many candidates may not be properly screened.

Experts say that no country in the world performs large-scale testing with just one piece of software. The committee advised the UGC to formulate a policy in case of testing the software.

Attending the meeting, a UGC official told Prothom Alo that the inventor of the proposed software, Munaz Ahmed Noor, Vice Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University, Gazipur, was present at the expert committee meeting and highlighted several software aspects. He also said that the software was originally created for the university’s internal exam. Currently, it is not suitable for taking the online college admissions test.
