He made the remarks at a rally organized by the Thana Awami League at the Navana Bhuiyan City Balur Field in Siddhirganj, Narayanganj on Saturday (December 26).
Shamim Osman said: ‘Now the smell of power is in everyone’s body. Today’s youth are unaware of the atrocities committed by the Awami League workers when the Awami League was not in power and the atrocities committed against the leaders and workers of the Awami League after 1975. Those who have brought the party to power through the sacrifice must respect today’s youth.
Shamim Osman expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for approving the Father of the Bangabandhu Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman University of Science and Technology in Narayanganj.
Speaking with leaders and workers about development works including Link Road, DND project, Adamjee Road in her Narayanganj-4 (Siddhirganj-Fatulla) constituency, she said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working tirelessly to make Bangladesh one of developed countries in Qatar. He wished everyone blessings to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Homecoming Day on January 10, MP Shamim Osman announced a rally in Narayanganj city with Narayanganj district and the metropolitan Awami League.
