Following government instructions, a limited number of stores have opened in different parts of the country, including the capital. Although companies are open to a limited range, buyers don’t get much attention. Many merchants are experiencing the buyer crisis. And the tendency of those who come to stores to follow the rules of hygiene is not so remarkable. Images can be seen in various shopping malls in the capital, including Mirpur.

Traders said they have opened the market in a small range since morning in accordance with government health standards. However, even if the time increases, it can be said that there are no buyers in the market. Many merchants have not been able to sell a single fabric until now. Go see one or two buyers entering the market and go, not buying. I don’t know what will happen in the next days.

Another businessman said three people work at the store at this time of year. I don’t have time to sell, but I’ve been sitting in the store since morning. It goes without saying that there is absolutely no buyer.

However, hand sanitizer has been seen at the entrance to each market since morning. Not only that, every store has a hand sanitizer. Sellers are encouraging the customer to give him a hand sanitizer as soon as he leaves. Also, buyers are entering the market by washing their hands from the market entrance. However, even if circles are arranged to guarantee physical distance within the stores, there is not much obedience.

Meanwhile, the Bashundhara City Mall and Jamuna Future Park did not open as there was a risk of spreading the corona virus from the mall despite government permission. At the same time, about 95 percent of shopping centers across the country, including Dhaka, are closed.

On the other hand, experts say, shopping malls will be crowded to buy Eid. And from this crowd, a large number of people can become infected with the corona virus.

According to a government directive on May 4, stores and malls across the country will be open from May 10 at 4 p.m. Previously, he was ordered to keep it open until 5pm. The next instruction has been reduced to one hour.

In addition, he said the stores could be kept open for the sake of limited trade before Ramadan and Eid-ul-Fitr. However, other health rules must be followed while maintaining mutual distance during buying and selling.
