The Vice President (VP) of the Central Student Parliament of Dhaka University (Daksu), Nurul Haque Nur, has brought another case against a student accused of rape. The case was brought under the Digital Security Law in the court of Dhaka Assam Cyber Court judge Jaglul Hossain on Wednesday.
The court is awaiting the request for an order. This information was confirmed to Jugantar by court presenter Shamim Al Mamun.
On the night of September 20, the Dhaka University student filed a complaint against Nurul Haque Nur at the Lalbagh Police Station alleging complicity in the rape. Six people, including Vice President Noor, were charged in the case.
Police arrested Nur around 7:30 pm on September 21. He was arrested on charges of rape and assault on the police. Then they took him to DB’s office. He was discharged at 12:35 pm after receiving treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
After that, on October 8, the DU student went on a hunger strike in front of the Raju anti-terrorism sculpture at Dhaka University demanding the arrest of Nurul Haque Nur and his associates.
The student presented a new case today. He alleged that he was raped and tried by Vice President Noor. Nur threatened him on his mobile phone not to reveal the matter.
