Badi, a former MP, did not comment directly on the matter and said he would speak about it if he received court documents.

The young man named Mohammad Ishaq Teknaf assistant judge on Sunday. Ziaul Haque has also requested a DNA test if required in his application filed with the court.

The judge learned of the request and ordered the defendant to appear in court on January 14 and give his statement, said Kafil Uddin Chowdhury, co-chair of the Cox’s Bazar District Bar Association.

Case number 149 filed in the Auxiliary Court of Teknaf. Plaintiff Mohammad Ishaq (28) wrote the name of his father ‘Abdur Rahman Badi’ in the statement, who has been mentioned as a former Member of Parliament for the Cox’s Bazar-4 constituency. The address is Kayukkhali Para in the Teknaf municipal area.

Ishaq said in his statement that he grew up in the family of Mohammad Islam, a former Badi family worker. The applicant’s mother, Sufia Khatun, was married “secondly” to Mohammad Islam.

At present, Ishaq lives in Dakshin Muhuri Para next to the BSIC industrial area in Jhilangja Union of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Upazila.

The defendant Abdur Rahman Badi is the son of Ezahar Mia aka Ezahar Company of Chowdhury Para in the Teknaf municipal area. He was a Member of Parliament twice for the Ukhia-Teknaf constituency. Shaheen Akhter Chowdhury, the incumbent MP from the same constituency, is his wife.

Badir’s uncle, Haji Mohammad Islam, has become the main defendant in the case.

Kafil Uddin, lawyer for plaintiff Ishaq, said: “The plaintiff has requested the court to test the DNA of both the plaintiff and the defendant if it is necessary to prove paternity. The court has summoned the lead defendant to appear in court on the 14th. from January”.

The lawyer also said that if the defendant denies the plaintiff’s claim, then the question of Badi and Ishaq’s DNA test will be a matter for the court.

The case brief states that Ishaq’s mother, Sufia Khatun, is the “first wife” of the defendant Abdur Rahman Badir.

The home of Sufia’s father, Abul Bashar, was in Dhumpara, Islamabad, in the Teknaf municipal area 30 years ago. Bashar used to live in Saudi Arabia for work. During that time there were several burglaries at his home. Sufia’s family then sought justice from Ezhar Company, the UP president of Teknaf Sadar.

So Ezahar’s company, for security reasons, arranged for the Sufis to stay temporarily in front of their home in Aliabad, in the Teknaf municipality. The petition mentions that it was an incident from the early 1990s.

It is alleged that Sufia Khatun had a ‘love affair’ with Badir, the son of Ezahar Company at the time, and on April 5, 1992, in the presence of the house keeper, Ekhlas Mia, and two other people, ‘other members of the family got married without knowing it. ‘ Their marriage was solemnized by Maulvi Abdus Salam, the then imam of the Niribili house of worship, a residential hotel in the municipal area of Teknaf owned by Badir’s father.

“Although Badi promised to register the marriage certificate, he did not fulfill it later. Badir’s stepmother, Rahima Khatun, and older sister, Shamsunnahar, were aware of the secret marriage between them. The Badi-Sufia couple began their married life afterwards. of marriage. At one point, Sufia Khatun became a girl. “

In the case it has been claimed that Sufia’s mother, Khatija Begum, did not accept the marriage when she informed Badir’s father, Ejahar Company. Later, “obeyed by his words”, Khatija married Sufia to the maid Mohammad Islam.

“On April 4, 1994, Sufia Khatun married Mohammad Islam for the ‘second time.’

According to the statement, Ishaq was born on September 9, 1994, five months after Sufia’s marriage to Mohammad Islam.

“I only seek recognition. My father (Badi) did not come to court because of any kind of greed for real estate and to discredit him,” said Mohammad Ishaq, claiming that he had taken refuge in court only to obtain “acknowledgment of paternity.”

Speaking of Ishaq’s lawsuit, former MP Badi said angrily: “What’s the point of journalists talking so much about it? What’s the problem for journalists in this? What’s the point that journalists have so much news on the world?”

He said that if someone had filed a case, they would first look at the court documents and then talk about it.

Although Badi claimed to be the father in the case, his father’s name was written as “Mohammad Islam” on Mohammad Ishaq’s birth registration certificate.

When asked about this, Ishaq said that he contacted Teknaf Municipality on June 8, 2011 if a birth registration certificate was necessary. At his father’s house he mentioned ‘Abdur Rahman Badi’.

But Ishaq claimed that the name of Mohammad Islam (Sufia’s husband) was written on the certificate “following his instructions”, since Haji Mohammad Islam Badir was his uncle.

He said that is why Teknaf municipal mayor Haji Mohammad Islam has become the second defendant in the case.

Bdnews24.com did not know the statement of the municipal mayor Haji Mohammad Islam in this regard.
