A young man named Emrul Hasan (40) committed suicide by breaking his arms and legs and grabbing land. The police recovered two notes from the pocket of the murdered young man.
He committed suicide while heading under a train from Rajshahi to Rahanpur on Wednesday morning in the closed doors area of Bilshimla in the city of Rajshahi.
Emrul’s father’s name is Fitu Mia. His home is in the Rahanpur area of Gomstapur upazila of Chapainawabganj. Emrul used to live an invalid life after being tortured in a dispute over land. He came to Rajshahi for treatment.
In the note, Emrul wrote: ‘Jalal, Kalam and their son Rana together unjustly killed me, broke my arms and legs and took the earth from me. I was burning with this problem. Even after breaking my arm and leg, they blocked the road in front of my house twice. In this note he mentions – who will receive how much money from him. Let the wife pay these debts.
The note also states that after death, the news can be given by calling any mobile number. Emrul also wrote in which cemetery his body would be buried.
On another note, Emrul wrote: ‘In my life, my relatives are my daughter (daughter) and my wife. There is no one else besides me. I don’t feel good about this life anymore. Give my wife two papers. Give a photocopy of the paper to the police.
Witnesses said Emrul was walking on the train track in the Bilshimla area around 9:30 a.m. At that time a commuter train came from Rajshahi to Rahanpur. As soon as the train got very close, Emrul let the head enter the train track. His head was separated from his body and he died on the spot. Emrul’s frozen body and his only vehicle lie on the side of the train track.
Emrul’s wife, Ayesha Begum, said they had come to Rajshahi last Monday to receive treatment from her husband. They grew up in their sister’s home in the Terokhadia area of the city.
In the morning, Emrul told him that he was going out. Then he committed suicide to stick his head in the railroad. Subsequently, the police called his sister’s number in the note and reported the matter.
Ayesha said that about five months ago, Jalal and Kalam occupied their land and built a house. When Emrul tried to stop him, they beat him and broke his arms and legs. After many treatments, her husband had to continue on crutches.
The defendants have remained out despite filing a land grabbing complaint. He was unable to move due to broken limbs. He couldn’t get the land back because of it. Angry, her husband committed suicide.
Rajpara City Police Station OC Shahadat Hossain Khan said the late Emrul’s body was recovered from the morgue of Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. Marhed has been delivered. The CO also said that one case of unnatural death was recorded at the Rajshahi GRP Police Station in this incident.
