OC MR Shawkat Anwar Islam said that Kashem Bepari, an accused fugitive in a Bhola Char Fashion case GR-256-99, has been staying in the Barashiba village of Charkajal Union in Galachipa for a long time. Police arrested Kashem Bepari on Saturday afternoon with a tip. At that moment, all the men and women of the house gathered to the shout of Kashem. Before the police understood anything, Hasina Begum rushed in with chili powder and sprinkled it in the eyes of other members of the police, including ASI Sumon. At that time, 10-12 people gathered and beat the policemen at random and seriously injured them. Unable to escape the dispersion of the chili powder, Kashem hit ASI Sumon on the head and fled. The other defendant beat the police officer Didarul and ripped off his uniform. Another sheriff Mainul was also injured. Upon receiving the news of the policeman’s injury, the officer in charge of the Galachipa Police Station MR Shawkat Anwar Islam quickly rescued the injured police officers from the scene and admitted them to the Galachipa Health Complex for treatment. ASI Sumon, who suffered head injuries, is currently in treatment. Others have returned to work with first aid.
