A housewife has been gang-raped while searching for her husband in Kashipur of Narayanganj Sadar Upazila. The incident took place in the Narsinghpur area last Thursday night. Police arrested three people on Friday night on charges of involvement in the incident based on the housewife’s allegations.
Those arrested are Nurul Islam, 65, a security guard from the Narsinghpur area of Kashipur, Ainul, 25, from the same area, and Raja Vallabh, 62, from the Muslim Nagar area.
Aslam Hossain, officer in charge of the Fatullah Model Police Station, said the housewife’s husband was the driver of a battery-powered autorickshaw. He came home every afternoon. His wife went out looking for him as he did not return home Thursday night. She went to an autorickshaw garage in the Narsinghpur area at night to look for her husband. At that time, the Nurul Islam area security guard told her to find her husband and took her to the side of the garage and raped her. Later, Ainul and Raja Vallabh also came there and raped him. The housewife presented a case to the police on Friday night. Police arrested three defendants in the case that night.
