The wife died on the way home from Dhaka after her husband died of a heart attack. His wife Guava Begum (42) died in the ambulance that was transporting the body around 7:30 pm on Wednesday.
The deceased couple’s home is located in the Sakhipur upazila village of Tangail in Dariapur Mazarpar.
Sources from the Upazila Health Complex said that the husband had a heart attack three days ago. Newaz Mia was admitted to a private hospital in Dhaka. He died at noon on Wednesday while in treatment.
Wife Guava Begum passed out in the Taktarchala area in upazila while taking her husband’s body home by ambulance. His relatives took him to the Sakhipur Upazila Health Complex by ambulance. The doctor on duty declared him dead.
Former Dariapur Union President SM Saiful Islam Shamim admitted to the incident and said the husband and wife died within seven hours. The incident is very tragic.
