A 13-year-old schoolgirl fell in love with a neighbor who rented a motorcycle from the Sakhipur Police Station in Bhedarganj upazila of Shariatpur. Later they ran away and got married. The boy’s family wants to accept the girl as their daughter-in-law, but the girl’s family is unhappy. Then the girl’s father chained her to a cot in a room in the house.
A video of a chained teenager has gone viral on social media Facebook. The video was posted on Facebook last Tuesday.
Upon going to the scene and talking to the locals, it became known that the girl is a resident of Lakshi Narayanpur village in Charkumaria Union of Sakhipur Police Station District 9. She is in the fifth grade of a local school. In 2019, she fell in love with Ahmed Ali Malat, 21, the son of neighbor Hasan Malat. They ran away and were married at the end of October this year. After the marriage, they hid at Ahmed Ali’s aunt’s house in the East Damuda area. Two days later, the family rescued them through representatives of the local population.
Ahmed Ali Malat’s family wanted to take the girl home as a daughter-in-law, but the girl’s family disagreed. The girl’s father got angry and filed a lawsuit against Ahmed Ali Malat at the Sakhipur Police Station. After the case, the police arrested Ahmed Ali and sent him to the Shariatpur court.
When Ahmed Ali appeared in court, the judge ordered that he be sent to Shariatpur prison. The teenager was present in court at the time. When she found out that her husband was going to be imprisoned, she started to go crazy in court. Later, the judge ordered that he remain in preventive detention.
On November 24, the teenager was released on bond from safe custody through court. He is currently in a state of mental imbalance. So his father sometimes chained him to a room in the house.
The girl’s father said he does not always keep her in chains. Watch day and night. Otherwise, Ahmed Ali went to Malat’s house and went crazy. One day he tied the girl’s hand with a chain. Who or what made the video and left it on Facebook.
His complaint is that Ahmed Ali sells and eats drugs. So you don’t want to hit the girl.
Ahmed Ali Malat’s mother Surat Nesha, her son ran away and married the girl, they did not know. Although the boy made a mistake, they accepted the girl as his daughter-in-law. But Ahmed is now in jail for filing a case against his parents.
Sakhipur (SI) Police Deputy Inspector Halim said the girl’s father had filed a lawsuit against Ahmed Ali. The accused has been arrested and sent to court. I don’t know anything about tying up a teenager. Action will be taken after receiving the information.
Vedharganj Upazila Nirbahi (UNO) officer Tanvir Al Nasif said the same about tying up the girl.
