A teacher has been accused of raping a student in Pakundia of Kishoreganj for 10 years in the temptation of marriage. The girl’s father filed a written complaint with the Pakundia police station on Tuesday afternoon. The accused is an assistant teacher at the Charattekia Mouza girls’ school. Her home is in the Upazila village of Chartertekia. He is the son of Nuruzzaman from that town.
According to the complaint, the girl used to study privately with Qayyum in 2010 when she was a sixth-grade student at the school. At that time, Qayyum developed a love story with the student. At one stage, she also developed a physical relationship by showing the temptation of marriage.
The student passed the SSC in 2015. He is currently in the second year of a university degree. Three years ago, his family married the girl in a village in Upazila. Qayyum still doesn’t stop.
The student’s mobile phone communication continues. She threatened the student’s husband on her mobile phone at different times. He was forcing the girl to leave her husband’s family and move in with her, tempting her to marry again. The student came to visit her father’s house a few days ago. The teacher lured the girl to her home. There she spent the night with the student.
The next day, on the morning of September 3, Qayyum ran away from his home after being pressured by Qazi to get married. The student informed her father about the matter on her mobile phone. Later, her father came to the house with the dignitaries of the area. Although Qayyum’s father, Nuruzzaman, was pressured by notables, he refused to marry. Later on Tuesday afternoon, her father filed a complaint with the Pakundia police station.
The student’s father said, “My daughter used to study privately with Qayyum when she was in the sixth grade at that school.” On this occasion, Qayyum developed a love affair with him. Later, showing the temptation of marriage, he developed a physical relationship with her. I married the girl elsewhere. Qayyum also did not allow the girl to be happy there. He broke up a family and took the girl home. When pressured to marry, he left his daughter at home and fled. I want a fair trial.
The defendant contacted Qayyum via his mobile phone more than once, but could not find him.
The officer in charge of the Pakundia Police Station, Mohammad Mofizur Rahman, confirmed the allegations and said the matter would be investigated on the spot and the necessary legal action would be taken.
