Witnesses and several lawyers said that candidates who had come to the stand to request bail in advance continued to huddle and yell outside the courtroom. The judiciary was being disrupted. Realizing this, Arif Sheikh stepped down from court.

He saw that the police officers on duty were sitting silently not fulfilling their duties. Seeing this, he warned the cops. He also appealed to candidates for not following sanitary regulations. The news of the judge’s presence spread immediately. Shortly after, the porch of the Supreme Court annex building was empty and everyone, including the police, rushed to the scene.
