The SSC and HSC assessment system is changing. Separate books will be issued for the 10th class, according to which the SSC will be based on the books read in the class. The HSC exam will be taken twice in two years. First you have to participate in the end-of-year exam on the subjects taken in class XI. Your number will be kept by the respective boards of education. Later, students will take the test on the subject taken in class XII. It is known that the HSC results will be reported by adding the results for classes XI and XII.

According to interested sources, work has begun to change the curriculum from pre-primary to upper secondary. There are no exams until third grade. From 4th to 7th class, 60 percent of the grades will be on continuous assessment. In addition, 80 points in eighth-ninth grade, 50% in tenth grade, and 30% in HSC will be subjected to continuous evaluation. After 2012, reforms are coming back to the education system. At the beginning of 1995 this system was also changed.

In light of the proposed curriculum, the curriculum is now being developed through the seventh grade. Next year, textbooks will be delivered to students in just four classes. There are four classes, first and second and sixth and seventh.

The work of writing the program of these classes will be completed on April 15th. Then the writing of the textbook will begin. By 2024, the introduction of books into the new curriculum will be completed through grade 10 and by 2026 through grade twelve. Before that, in 2023, new textbooks will be available in the third, fourth, fifth, and eighth and ninth classes. Early childhood education will last for two years starting next year.

This year its experimental application is being carried out in different schools in the country. If the new curriculum is implemented, the weekly leave will be granted for two days. There is currently nothing in the syllabus about the final exam for the fifth and eighth classes. Two tests are being carried out by executive order of the government. It is known that there is no direction in this regard in the proposed curriculum.

Professor Narayan Chandra Saha, chairman of the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB), said that students are currently studying according to the curriculum introduced in 2012. The curriculum is refined every five years throughout the world. Considering the needs and realities of the time, it is part of normal activities. As such, refinement had to come sooner.

Today’s ninth-grade students are divided into science, humanities and business education, he said. But according to the plan, all students through the tenth class will read the same textbook. Even in these two classes they will have the opportunity to receive pre-vocational education.
