District member of the Awami League and president of the Upazila Parishad Lawyer Imrul Hossain Talukder Emon, son of former MP Gazi Ishaq Hossain Talukder, current president of the Upazila Awami League Abdul Hadi Almaji Jinnah and former Acting General Secretary of the Upazila Awami League Sheikh Mohammad. According to party sources, the last conference was held in 2013 with 9 unions and a municipality from the upazila. As the conference was not held for a long time, organizing activities were in full swing. The National Day, the Special Day and the anniversary of the founding of the festival have also been observed. Apu has been reported to be walking around the October 29 conference with a bag full of money to buy councilor votes. Seeing that panorama, many questions have arisen among candidates for secretary general.
