Fake dentists Nur Hossain and Zahidul Islam have been arrested in a raid by the RAB mobile court in Khilgaon, the capital. They are two in-laws. Together they created a dental institution called Panchagarh Dental Care in Tilpapara, Khilgaon.
Nur Hossain studied up to third class and her daughter’s son-in-law’s educational grade is tenth class. But the son-in-law and father-in-law have long been treating ordinary patients as their own specialist doctors.
The RAB-3 mobile court raided the institution on Monday afternoon based on complaints from aggrieved patients.
At the end of the operation, the father-in-law Nur Hossain was sentenced to two years in prison and the son-in-law Jahidul Islam to one year in prison.
RAB-3 Executive Magistrate Palash Kumar Bose said the operation showed Nur Hossain and Zahidul Islam giving all dental treatments, including the operation of the doctor with the registration number of another doctor.
He said that during questioning, the fake doctor Nur Hossain was unable to correctly pronounce the name of the drug.
When asked about the suspicion, Nur Hossain told the mobile court that he had studied up to third class. He is the father-in-law of another fake doctor, Jahidul Islam. Son-in-law Jahidul used to work in a stone company. Later he began a false dental treatment with his father-in-law.
They came with a medical certificate signed by a doctor named Jihan Kabir. Son-in-law Zahidul used to write the name of the medicine, and father-in-law Nur Hossain just signed. For a long time they have been misleading ordinary people with fake treatment through this fraud.
Some of the victims who were present during the operation said they knew from corridors that an experienced doctor was sitting in dental care. Many have also taken prescriptions. But they didn’t even realize it, only two fake doctors who were studying until the third and tenth class were coming here for treatment.
