A university student named Rakib Ahmed (22) died while wearing hearing aids in the Thanthania area of Bogra city with a mobile charge. The incident took place around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The family of the murdered college student said he was electrocuted to death while listening to music on headphones. However, the police believe that Rakib may have died of a heart attack.

According to the family of the deceased, Rakib was in his room after Saturday night. When they called him around 8:30 p.m., the relatives were scared because they did not get an answer. Later they broke down the door and saw Rakib lying on the bed.
Rakib was rescued and taken to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital (Shajimek). Later, the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Rakib’s older brother Rabbi Ahmed said: ‘Rakib was lying in the room listening to music and he was given a mobile charge. Rakib broke down the door without getting a response and was rushed to hospital. But the doctor said that Rakib was dead. The body was later taken home. Rakib was buried after Janaza on Sunday afternoon.
Rakib’s father, Shahanur, said that Rakib is the youngest of his four sons and daughters. Rakib’s mother was infected with corona a few days ago. On the advice of doctors, he was taken to a private hospital in Dhaka. Upon hearing the news of his son’s death, he left his wife ill and went home. Meanwhile, news of her son’s untimely death said that his mother’s condition was critical.
Bogra Sadar OC Humayun Kabir Police Station said: ‘Rakib used to listen to many songs on his mobile phone. Wake up at night. It is believed that he died of a heart attack.
