The autopsy of the Islamic University (IU) student Ulfat Ara Tinni, who died mysteriously, has been completed. The investigation found no signs of rape or torture on Tinni’s body, the doctor said. According to the investigation report, Tinni also committed suicide while hanging.
Kushtia Medical College Hospital RMO said. Tapas Kumar Sarkar confirmed the information and said there were no signs of rape on Tinni’s body. There were no signs of torture. It is a “suicide of the hanged state”. The autopsy report has been delivered to the Kushtia Sadar Model Police Station.
However, Tinni’s relatives could not believe the investigation report. According to relatives, the former brother-in-law Jamirul and his associates broke into the house, entered Tinni’s bedroom and tortured and humiliated her. After that, Tinni committed suicide.
Munni, Tinni’s older sister, said of the investigation report: “I cannot believe this report.” I wonder if it has been changed with money. Because in Tinni’s room I saw him (Jamirul) visually. So I can’t believe he would kill himself if something didn’t happen.
Tinni was found hanging from her room in her two-story home in the Sheikhpara area of Shailkupa upazila in Jhenaidah at midnight Thursday. She died on the way to the hospital. Tinni, daughter of the late freedom fighter Yusuf Ali from Sheikhpara village, is a student of the Department of Accounting and Information Systems at Islamic University in the 2012-13 academic year.
Tinni’s mother, Halima Begum, filed a case against eight people on Friday. Police arrested four people after the case.
