Jannatun Ferdous told this correspondent: “I lost my father after he was born and we have a place in the house of Khala-Khalu.” I live there with my mother. I secretly married Azizur Rahman after meeting me on my mobile phone due to my studies in Dinajpur. After the birth of my daughter, when the marriage was reported to the family, there was a rift between the two. After that, he initially denied me as his wife, but last Friday Azizur sent me a letter of divorce.

At the time of the marriage on December 1, 2016, the stamp was delivered for 3 lakh 72 lakhs. But Azizur has made a nikah nama where the 90 lakhs denomination is mentioned. Jannatun also claimed that the Rs 50,000 payment for gold ornaments was false. Jannatun mentioned in a tearful voice that there is no other way than to commit suicide if the husband does not recognize the child.

Defendant Azizur Rahman Sumon said: “I have divorced my wife Jannatun according to the rules for various reasons, including going against my opinion.” Azizur said the accusations against him were false.
