At noon someone arrives at the destination and returns to the field, someone runs to the destination. Running on hilly trails and tea gardens was completely new to many. No one participated in the marathon for the first time. The excitement of the new participants was much greater.
Shiuli Shabnam from Chittagong, who participated in the 21 km, said: ‘This is the first time on the trail. I did not participate in such marathons for many days in Corona. Running through the middle of the tea garden. I met a lot of people. It is a matter of great joy ”.
The runners have been back on the field since 8:30 in the morning. Upon their return, the organizers presented the ‘Finisher Medal’ to the participating runners.
One of the organizers of this marathon race is Jewel Ahmed, president of Shamshernagar Union Parishad (UP). “We have played more important tournaments in this field,” he said. But this is the first time in such a big marathon. Many nationals and foreigners have participated. This is a union level area. Through this marathon, we are trying to introduce Shamshernagar to people at home and abroad.
When asked, Shamshernagar Ultra Trail Marathon member secretary Nabil Shamsheri said: ‘I have done marathons on my own initiative before. This time it was a large-scale marathon. Many have collaborated. It will be possible to do more in the future.
In addition to the different districts of the country, 30 participants from India, Sri Lanka, America, Nepal and the Czech Republic participated in the Ultra Trail Marathon.
