Ignoring the rain, BNP leader, engineer Ishraq Hossain, and leaders of party affiliates have protested rape and violence against women and children across the country. They blocked the road in front of the National Press Club at 12 noon on Monday. From there he marched in front of the Shaheed Minar center and ended the program with a brief rally.

In a short speech there, Ishraq Hossain said, “My father was a heroic freedom fighter on the battlefield.” I also want to live as a guerrilla for freedom. We will not tolerate any more injustices. We need to eliminate this hyena government. We have to establish peace in the country. So let’s all be united. Through a united movement, we removed this fascist government and established a democratic government in the country.

Also present at the procession were the president of Muktijoddha Dal, Ishtiaq Aziz Ulfat, and numerous leaders and activists from BNP and its affiliates.

Earlier, the Bangladesh Nationalist Freedom Fighters Party organized a human chain and a rally in front of the National Press Club at 10 am on Monday. But since it had been raining since morning, the program was suspended early.

BNP Deputy Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Muktijoddha Dal Secretary General Sadek Khan, BNP Leader Irfan Ibne Aman, Shakib and others participated in the human chain.
