Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered the concerned authorities to make all preparations on the ground as part of taking precautionary measures to prevent the possible reappearance of Kovid-19 in the coming winter.
Referring to the recurrence of the coronavirus in many countries around the world, the Prime Minister called on people to wear masks widely and adhere to all prescribed health regulations to stop the spread of the deadly Kovid-19 in the country.
Citing the prime minister after the weekly cabinet meeting on Monday, Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam told a news conference that “preparations must be made at the grassroots level at this time to combat the possible second phase of the Kovid-19 infection “.
Quoting the Prime Minister, the Cabinet Secretary further said: “If the second wave comes, if we are aware that we are using our experience, it will be convenient for us.” During the meeting, the Prime Minister said: “Since the incidence of cold in the country is likely to increase in late October and early November and there is a trend for pneumonia, fever or asthma at that time.” You have to be prepared. ‘
The cabinet secretary said the prime minister had instructed everyone to wear masks and receive immediate treatment as soon as winter arrives, as well as to take precautionary measures against the cold.

The cabinet secretary said: “Everyone in the cabinet, including the prime minister, is concerned about the wearing of masks by the people. It will increase more widely. Because, our experts say that if you wear a mask from both sides, then 95 to 98 percent is safe. On the one hand, there is a security of 72 to 75 percent. So everyone has to be inspired to wear a mask. ‘
“We have told the Islamic Foundation to announce at least twice a day through the microphones of all the mosques in the village that wearing a mask is a state directive and a welfare directive and that it is our duty to comply with it,” he said. . Otherwise, the government will be forced to act by the rules.
The cabinet secretary said an inter-ministerial meeting was called on Tuesday on the second wave of Kovid-19. Detailed programs will be carried there.
Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam also said the government was placing more importance on ensuring that masks were worn before the second wave.
He said: ‘I recently went to a market for work, I didn’t see many people wearing masks. Later we instructed that we would check any day, if we don’t see everyone in the market wearing masks, then we will take action.’
Citing experts, he said that if one cannot afford a mask, it can easily be made at home from fabric. Mask after all.
The cabinet secretary said the campaign is underway to comply with health standards, adding that a mobile court is underway in this regard.
