Harunur Rashid, a Member of Parliament elected by the Chapainawabganj-3 constituency as a BNP candidate, has also commented that the Prime Minister is also a member of the Opposition. He made the remarks after canceling three notices issued by him in Parliament on Thursday night.
BNP MP Harun said: ‘Honorable speaker, I am not saying anything about the decision you have made. The prime minister is here. He is the leader of us all. He is also the leader of the opposition. You (President), please communicate the problems that I have presented to the Prime Minister ‘
Earlier, BNP MP Harunur Rashid had issued a notice in Parliament for violating his privilege by not being able to serve on the governing committee of a primary education institution in his constituency. It also issued two separate notices for not being able to propose names to the board of directors of private educational institutions and for not being able to lay the foundations for educational institutions in the constituency.
President Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury rejected all three notices at the beginning of Thursday’s session.
The speaker said: “The notices do not refer to the violation of special rights. The first and second issues are not recent. The third has a discrepancy on the date and it is not up to Parliament to intervene. I regret that it was not possible to accept the Notice: Although the constitution has mandated legislation on the special rights of members of parliament, so far this has not been done.
Aaron was the first to bring this notice to the Eleventh Parliament. If such a notification is received in Parliament, the President can forward it to the Special Powers Committee. However, later during the discussion in the room during the enactment of the law, Harun referred to the notice of violation of his special rights and requested to send the notice to the leader of Parliament, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Previously, BNP MP Harun Aur Rashid was the subject of a media discussion about going to Parliament after Mujib Kot in the last parliamentary session.
Mujib Kot is often worn by leaders and activists of the Awami League. There was much discussion in the political arena at the time about the wearing of this dress by the BNP’s deputy general secretary.
Later in Parliament, Harun Aur Rashid dismissed the news that Mujib was wearing a coat and said: ‘I am wearing a blue waistband. With Punjabi, this waist is after all. This is nothing new. Mujib’s coat is black. Mujib leads the court, who makes the Awami League. Why am I going to wear the Mujib coat? I am the BNP formed by the martyr President Ziaur Rahman, I was elected Member of Parliament with the symbol of the BNP rice sheaf ‘- added the BNP leader.
Harun is one of eight people elected by the BNP in the eleventh parliamentary elections. He was chosen from the Chapainawabganj-3 constituency as the symbol of rice. There was a lot of controversy surrounding his oath between the BNP’s decision to boycott the elections and his decision not to go to parliament. In the end, BNP went to parliament. There are discussions within and outside the party that Harun has a role in bringing BNP to parliament.
