Dhaka: In a week, the price of all types of gold has risen again in the country’s market. This time the filler has increased to 2,450 rupees.
The 22 karat gold filled a maximum of 6,458 rupees. However, the price of silver remains unchanged.
The metal will be sold at a new price starting Friday (September 18). A press release issued by the Bangladesh Jewelery Association (BAJUS) on Thursday (September 18) said that the price of gold would rise. Previously, the price of gold also increased on September 10.
According to the new price list established by Bajus, the price has been set at 22 carats, at 6,456 rupees. As of Thursday, the market price for this quality gold is Rs 74,006. In other words, the price has increased by 2,450 rupees.
The price of the 21-karat bhari has been set at Tk 83,308. It currently sells for Rs 60,758. The price has increased by 2,450 rupees.
Similarly, the price per 18 karat bhari will be Rs 64,560. The current price is Rs 72,110. The filler has increased by 2,450 rupees.
The price of gold in the traditional method has been set at 54,236 Tk per ounce. As of Thursday, the traditional price is Rs 51,006 per bhari. The price has increased by 2,450 rupees.
The 21 karat cadmium silver price has remained unchanged. Each bhari sells for 933 rupees.
Dilip Kumar Agarwala, general secretary of the Jewelery Association, said that the price of gold has increased in line with the international market. All jewelry merchants must sell to the Bajus fixed price list until instructed.
