The post-Brexit trade deal between the EU and the UK was finalized after a series of deals and tensions. The deal was struck on Thursday. As a result of the completion of this agreement, there was no obstacle for Britain to officially implement Brexit from January 1.

After the deal, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson posted a celebratory photo on Twitter, writing that the deal was closed.

In Brussels, on the other hand, the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Lynn, said that a very good and balanced agreement had been reached. He told reporters: “The road to reaching an agreement is very long and difficult, but in the end we have reached a good agreement.”

However, the agreement is still pending approval in the European Parliament. However, it is virtually impossible to complete the ratification process before the end of the Brexit transition period on December 31 of this year. In that case, it is expected to remain in force until its approval, while British MPs are also waiting to see the details of the deal. The country’s parliament will hold a vote on the issue on December 30.

Lord Frost, the UK’s top trade negotiator, said the 1,500-page deal would be published soon.

The UK will withdraw from EU trade policy on December 31, a year after the 28-nation bloc formally withdrew from the European Union. This will bring great changes in the field of commerce. The UK and the EU will create separate markets and free movement will stop.
