Dhaka: The European Medicines Agency (EMA) says that the Corona Vicer (Covid-19) vaccine, invented by Oxford-AstraZeneca, is “safe and effective”.
According to the agency, the vaccine is safe.
This vaccine has nothing to do with what is said about blood clots.
British media reported on the BBC on Thursday (March 18).
Thirteen countries in the European Union say the vaccine is causing problems like blood clots in the human body. The agency made the decision Thursday after 13 countries stopped administering the estrogen vaccine.
The EMA made the announcement Thursday about the Oxford-AstraZeneca coronary vaccine, the BBC reported. There, it is said, the AstraZeneca vaccine has nothing to do with the high risk of blood clots. However, the decision to stop or suspend vaccination must be made by the member countries individually.
The AstraZeneca vaccine is safe and effective, EMA Executive Director Emmer Cook said at a news conference on Thursday. There are more benefits than risks to taking it against covid.
He said the EMA medical safety experts said after the review that the vaccine had nothing to do with the risk of blood clots. But the fact that there is no link between vaccines and freezing cannot be ruled out. In some rare and unusual cases, serious blood clots have been found.
Emmer Cook added that the committee has therefore been advised to raise awareness of the potential risks. This is a question of risk for product information to be added. Will look for more.
Italy, for its part, has announced that it will resume the Oxford-Astrageneca corona vaccine on Friday (March 19).
Earlier on Thursday, the World Health Organization called for the AstraZeneca vaccine to be continued.
The Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine is effective and safe, the agency said. But on Friday the company will announce the results of its own review.
According to AstraZeneca, 18 million people in the European Union and the United Kingdom have already been vaccinated against the coronavirus. And the number of blood clots that have been reported is less than a hundred. This is normal compared to the total population.
Recently, there have been questions about the side effects of the AstraZeneca vaccine in several European countries. As a precautionary measure, several countries have suspended AstraZeneca’s vaccination program following allegations that the vaccine causes blood clots. Among the countries of Europe, Austria, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden have announced the creation of AstraZeneca. Iceland and Norway have also announced a ban on the use of the vaccine.
