The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has imposed a ban on pedestrians entering Hatirjheel from 5pm Thursday to Friday morning to ensure safety on the 30th night. But the opposite image was seen after Thursday night. After the sunset of 2020, the crowd of entertainment lovers has increased in Hatirjheel. As a result, many have been seen to ignore the DMP’s ban on Thirtyfirst.

Many people were instantly seen coming to Hatirjheel after the night. Some have come together to celebrate the New Year in a slightly different way, while others have gathered on the thirtieth night with their families in a festive atmosphere. The crowd of adults as well as children and teenagers was striking. Apart from this, crowds of lovers have been seen all over Hatirjheel.

Previously, pedestrians were prohibited from entering Hatirjheel from 5 p.m. Thursday to Friday morning to ensure safety on the thirtieth night. No one can enter on foot. It is also mentioned that you can enter the car but you can not stop the car or give any talk.

Hatirjheel Police Officer in Charge (CO) Abdur Rashid said that all entry points to Hatirjheel would be closed immediately after dark. Nor will anyone be allowed to enter the vehicle.

He said law enforcement would be deployed at various points in Hatirjheel. DMP instructions have already been given for the prevention of coronavirus. Work will be done in accordance with those instructions.
