SI Krishnamohan alleged in the case that the woman came to Walia from the Dhanaidah village of Baraigram upazila with Beai Raihan to see Rashedul’s niece as their son’s wife on Tuesday afternoon. The woman went to see the girl in different places late at night. At one point, after Raihan arrived at the scene, Rashedul raped the woman. After receiving the news on Rashedul’s mobile phone, 12 more people arrived at the scene and raped the woman. In the morning, the victim arrived at the Walia police post. He then filed a written complaint around 3:15 p.m. Police arrested the seven defendants in the raid, SI Krishnamohan said.
