It is known that the name of the deceased minor is Mausumi Majhi. She is only 14 years old. I was in the ninth grade. The police arrested Nani Gopal Majhi on charges of murdering her daughter.
His home is in the Golbandhi village of Garbeta Police Station. The girl came to her uncle’s house with her mother Satbankura on the occasion of Bishwakarma Puja. Nani Gopal went to her father-in-law’s house on Sunday night.
Mausumi’s mother, Putul Majhi, claims that her father found out about her daughter’s love story a few days ago. The two were arguing about this. To avoid unrest, her mother moved to her father’s house with her daughter before Bishwakarma Puja.
That night, the girl’s father came to Satbankura from Amlashuli. He also had an argument with his daughter at her father-in-law’s house.
Witnesses said that the father hit the girl on the head with a stick during the argument. The pregnant girl died on the spot. Mausumi’s mother claims that her daughter was two months pregnant.
Police recovered the body and sent it for an autopsy.
