The minimum temperature in Tentulia is 7.8 degrees Celsius

On the first day of the new year, the country’s lowest temperature of 6.8 degrees Celsius was recorded in Tentulia in Panchagarh.

A mild cold snap has been prevailing in different parts of Uttar Janapada for two consecutive weeks this season. The meteorological office said the mild cold wave will continue in the Srimangal, Naogaon, Dinajpur, Tentulia, Dimla, Rajarhat and Chuadanga areas.

Meteorologist said. Arif Hossain said: “In some parts of the north, the temperature is relatively low during the winter season. There may be mild cold episodes in some places for a couple more days.

“Now the minimum temperature is increasing in most of the country. In this case, the temperature may drop again after a few days. The incidence of winter is usually higher in January.”

The meteorologist said the long-term forecast for January will be released soon.

The minimum temperature in the northern district was between 7-8 degrees Celsius since mid-December this season. The lowest temperature of the season on December 19 was 7.6 degrees Celsius in Rajarhat.

The three-month forecast from the Department of Meteorology (December-February) says that two or three mild to moderate cold spells are expected in January. Two of which can take the form of a bad cold.

Moderate cold spell, temperature drops to 6 degrees

When the minimum temperature drops from 8 to 10 degrees Celsius in a large area, there is a gentle breeze; When the mercury in the thermometer drops from 6 to 8 degrees Celsius, it is considered to be experiencing intense cold spells when the average and minimum temperatures are between 4 and 6 degrees Celsius.

Saturday’s weather forecast said the weather would remain dry across the country. There may be moderate to heavy fog in the country’s river basins from midnight to morning and light to moderate fog in other parts of the country.
