Rajshahi: The lowest temperature in the country has been recorded in the divisional city of Rajshahi. On Sunday (December 28), the low temperature in Rajshahi was recorded at 7.6 degrees Celsius.
This is the lowest temperature in the district so far this season. Previously, it was recorded on December 19 at 8 degrees Celsius. As a result, a moderate cold snap has started over Rajshahi since today. As a result, normal life has been disrupted due to extreme cold. Debal Kumar Maitra, a senior observer for the Rajshahi Meteorological Office, told banglanews that the country’s lowest temperature of 6.8 degrees Celsius was recorded in Rajshahi on Sunday. The highest temperature recorded on this day was 23.8 degrees Celsius. The day before, Saturday (Nov 26), Rajshahi had a low of 9 degrees Celsius and a high of 25.9 degrees Celsius.
As a result, a single digit temperature has prevailed in Rajshahi for the past two days. At first, there was a slight cold snap, but today it has turned into a moderate cold snap. This has increased the intensity of winter.
The Weather Department website said in a 24-hour weather forecast starting at 9 a.m. Sunday that weather across the country could remain mostly dry. From midnight to morning, moderate to heavy fog may fall in some parts of the country’s watershed and light to moderate fog in other parts of the country. Daytime and nighttime temperatures across the country can remain largely unchanged.
According to him, at the end of December, there is a continuous cold snap somewhere in the north. The northern wind and fog are no exception. Mild to moderate cold spells over the region are also expected to continue for a few more days.

However, the number of corona patients in the hospital remains very low, said the deputy director of the hospital.
