Hafez Delwar Hossain Bhuiyan, 48, and his eldest son Jonaid Hossain Bhuiyan, 18, from Nangalkot in Comilla, were killed in an air conditioning blast at the Baitus Salat mosque in Sardarpara, west of Fatulla in Narayanganj on Friday.

It is known that Hafeez Delwar Hossain Bhuiyan, the only son of the late Maulvi Shafiqur Rahman from the village of Badarpur in Nangalkot upazila of Comilla, his two sons Jonaid Hossain, a seventh-class student from New Khanpur Hospital Road, and Jamia Haji Saiduddin Hafezar, a second child of the same area. ) He had been living in the area for a long time. The late Hafez Delwar Hossain had been serving as an imam of the Talla Baitus Salah Mosque for the past 25 years after graduating from Hafizia Madrasa, Amlapara, Kalir Bazar. Hafez Delwar Hossain, his father, the late Maulvi Shafiqur Rahman, and the Talla Bara mosque in the same area served as muezzins for 40 long years. Fahmida Akhter, the slain Imam’s wife, said her husband had last told her on his mobile phone shortly before the blast that he no longer felt well. They have sought help from the government.
