The body of an unidentified woman rescued from the launch cabin in Barisal has been identified. The deceased was identified as Jannatul Ferdous Lovely, 29. Her husband Oliyar Rahman’s home is in the Bhanga area of Faripur.
The late Lovely lived with her father Abdur Latif Miah in the Mirpur Pallabi area of the capital. She is the mother of two children. Barisal Sadar Naval Police Station OC Abdullah Al Mamun confirmed the matter at 9pm on Tuesday.
He said the body was found 36 hours after recovery. Moktar Hossain, brother of the deceased, arrived in Barisal on Tuesday night and identified the body of Jannatul Ferdous Lovely. He was identified 36 hours after the body was recovered from the launch deck.
Preparations are underway to file a murder case in this incident. Lovely Begum’s body was handed over at night.
The body of the rescued woman has been delivered to cabin number 391 on the third floor of the Parabat-11 motorboat from Dhaka in the river port of Barisal.
