According to Anandabazar, the man was addicted to gambling and alcohol and his home was in Hasanganj in Bihar. Friends have alleged that the woman was raped multiple times after she recently lost her bet and handed it over to her friends. Later, when the woman refused to leave the house, she was allegedly attacked with acid.
Then, on December 13, the woman ran away from her home and arrived at her father’s home. Then he opened the whole thing up to a social worker. Later, the police arrested the accused husband when a complaint was filed with the police.
The couple have reportedly been married for about 10 years. The woman alleged that her husband had been physically abusing her for a long time because she was unable to conceive. On October 26, her husband locked her in a room with players. Then she was raped more than once.
The Bhagalpur Police Superintendent said a charge sheet will be issued soon.
