A housewife named Hira Begum (33) was allegedly set on fire by her husband Billal Sardar in a family fight in Abhaynagar, Jessore. The incident took place in the Chakai-Maricha village of upazila on Thursday morning. The burned diamond was admitted first to the Upazila Health Complex and then to the burn unit of Khulna Medical College Hospital. His condition is said to be critical. Husband Billal has been on the run since the incident.
Burnt Hira Begum said that in the morning she had an argument with her husband over a trivial incident. At one point, the husband got excited, poured kerosene oil into the house, set it on fire, and left the house. When he left the house burned, the neighbors came and put out the fire, rescued him and admitted him to the Upazila Health Complex.
Doctor of the Upazila Health Complex. Tumpa Kundu said that most of Hira’s chest, back, and both hands were burned in the fire. The patient’s condition is critical.
Abhaynagar Police Inspector (investigation) Milon Kumar Mandal said that no one had filed a complaint with the police. The matter is being investigated. If there is a case, legal action will be taken.
